Karen started Mai Oui! Gourmet with a belief that, "Catering should be a fun experience for our clients. Mai Oui aims for quality, perfection and presentation in all of our catering events!"

Karen:
Karen grew up in the restaurant business: both
her parents and grand-parents were restaurateurs. With this background, she naturally developed a passion for cooking and entertaining.  "I started out cooking and planning special occasions for family and friends and it was them who encouraged me to turn my passion into a business." It is this passion for entertaining that Karen brings to each of Mai Oui! Gourmet's catering engagement such as Wedding Catering and Corporate Event Catering.

Pati:
Chef Pati Hordyk was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She first came to Florida in 1985 and a decade later found herself in Jacksonville where she started her own Event Planning and Personal Chef Business. She joined Mai Oui! Gourmet in 2005.

Chef Hordyk likes to call herself a “home schooled” chef. Her mother was her biggest influence as far as trying new foods and great recipes, and instilled the love and passion for her cooking.
